I remember the first time I learnt of Sally Wise. Thumbing through Instagram I saw a gorgeous photo of a roadside produce stall, filled with little pots of bread, preserves and fresh flowers. It’s an image that has stayed with me, so when I came across Sally’s lovely book, I naturally just had to read it.
With its produce filled cover, this book reads more like a diary than a cookbook or biography. It’s also the story of her fabulous cooking school, as she tells about the trials and triumphs of starting her new venture.
Sally starts her journey in a Wintry July when they relocate to their tree-change property, a small farm in the Derwent Valley, Tasmania.
